Russian manicure starter checklist: tools, drill and safety

Starting Russian manicure involves more than owning an electric nail drill. Use this checklist to review workspace, tools, practice and basic hygiene before choosing training or working on a person.

Educational guide only. It does not replace professional training, hygiene protocols, manufacturer instructions or local regulation.

Before using the drill

  • Read the equipment manual and identify controls, direction, speed and maintenance.
  • Check that bits and accessories are compatible and in good condition.
  • Prepare a stable, clean and well-lit workspace.
  • Do not practise on injured, painful skin or signs of infection.
  • Use practice material before working on a person.

Preparation checklist

Common beginner mistakes

  • Buying tools by quantity rather than compatibility.
  • Increasing speed before understanding control.
  • Practising directly on a person.
  • Treating cleaning and disinfection as secondary.
